Aussie artist returns rockstar instruments
to NYC for debut collection

Australian artist Kelly Maddocks will launch her debut art collection in NYC by returning the rockstar instruments she paints to the iconic locations they were once played.

Maddocks’ debut collection ‘Reverb’ includes 7 original paintings of instruments played by rockstars including Jimi Hendrix, John Lennon (The Beatles), Keith Richards (The Rolling Stones) and Janis Joplin.

Creating a scavenger hunt for music lovers and art collectors alike, exclusive fine art prints will be dropped in iconic NYC spots where each instrument first made a mark on the music industry.

“The release will pay homage to the amazing instruments these legends played and the reverberation that has continued on hum across the music industry for generations”, Maddocks commented. “It is a dream for any artist to have their work in New York, for both painters and musicians alike”

The NYC drop will commence between the 12 – 16 October, with locations revealed in real time via social media. The art collection named ‘Reverb’ will launch 20 October 2026 on kellymaddocks.com.
